Overall, I would say Target uses Instagram and Twitter more frequently than their other platforms. They are able to relate to their audience better with these apps and communicate quicker. Target also likes to engage with their customers via social media by responding to comments and sharing your posts with their products.

Function of Beauty definitely has more engagement on their Instagram because of their targeted audience. This company will get back to you within a day via social media but through their email, it takes 3-5 days. I think they use their social media well enough to promote their products and engage with their customers. They are a little slow communication wise, but in the near future I can see them really succeeding.

Brandy Melville has an advantage when it comes to Instagram. They do a well enough job on their social media but has room for improvement when it comes to communication.

Studio 1220 is a boutique located locally in Carlsbad and Coronado. They have one store in Katy, Texas and another one opening up in that state soon. They sell women's clothes, accessories, shoes and even decor like candles, plants and other miscellaneous stuff.

They typically post monthly with their last post on September 9, 2018. And finally their Facebook page has over 13k likes. They post weekly with their last post on February 6, 2020.
I would say that they need improvement when running their social media accounts. They repost photos that you tag them in but are poor with engaging and communicating. Instagram is their most popular social media platform but not because of the effort they put into in, but because it's the easiest platform for their customers.

By capturing picture perfect moments. relating to their customers, and their great communication skills Philz continues to thrive.
After researching deeper into each business, I have concluded that social media has a big impact on every business. Every post and comment that a company makes has to be well thought out. The most important thing to keep a business growing is their customers. Businesses have to show good work ethic and communication skills for their customers to potentially have a good experience.
Instagram is one of the most popular platforms that businesses use. With the capability of being able to choose a personal or business profile, businesses use this as an advantage to promote their company more. Facebook recently bought out Instagram and because of this, we are starting to see how it's evolving. Older audiences are starting to use Instagram and younger audiences are starting to connect with Facebook more.
I also discovered that all of these business websites are simple, colorful and easy to get around. They have their tabs laid out specific and clear so their viewers don't have any trouble. All of these websites have their social medias linked either under "contact us" or at the bottom of the website. In my opinion, Function of Beauty's website was the easiest for me to navigate through. Everything you need to know about their hair products is on their home page. At the top of their page they have all their tabs laid out and at the bottom, they have their social medias and other easy access links.
